Beady Long Legs
Pseudoarachnia armoralis
Beady Long Legs is an enemy in the Pikmin games. It first appeared as the mini-boss in Pikmin, and reappears in Pikmin 2 as a far more common boss. The only attack it has is stomping around, but its large feet make this more dangerous than it sounds. Its body is its only weak point, making yellow pikmin more suitable for beating it. When defeated, it crumbles into dust away after ejecting its belongings from its orbular torso.
In Pikmin 1 they are found only in the Forest Navel once, and in Challenge Mode one is found in The Final Trial.
In Pikmin 2, one appears on the last (5) sublevel of the Citadel of Spiders, one on Sublevel 14 of the Hole of Heroes, one in the Twilight Garden in Challenge Mode, and one that can be found on land in the Perplexing Pool in front of the landing site after it is about Day 30 or more.
Olimar's Notes
Although this creature is commonly associated with spiders, it is actually the result of a separate evolutionary line insectoid creatures. Since the spherical body section carries most of its internal organs, there appears to be no other features that would correspond to a head or abdomen.
Louie's Notes
Poisonous. Consumption results in prolonged writhing and uncontrollable mirth.
