There are theories out there that say this is a larval waterwraith that strayed from underground, possibly even what happens when a waterwraith oozes to the surface after picking up some minerals (nuclei). Maybe its death was the reason why all waterwraiths are found underground, with added mobility, weapons, and defence system (assuming they actually are related to waterwraiths). Some people argue those because pikmin can't drown in a waterwraith, but then again the theories about what exactly a waterwraith is leads to controversy. | |||
