Cloaking Burrow-nit

Trilobitins reclusiva

The Cloaking Burrow-nit is a slightly strange looking creature that lives in the ground. You may see a dark blue skin with two eyelike pinkish holes on the shell. If you approach it, it burrows out of the ground and chases your Pikmin. You may notice on its tender skin, that it has a pointed nose, when the creature is near you, it will stretch its snout to a very long length, which can capture only one Pikmin at a time, and then is attempted to be sucked in by the creature. The best way to beat it is to throw Purple Pikmin in front of its tender face, or swarm it. In Wistful Wild, a Cloaking Burrow-nit can be found eating a brige if you build the one near it, similar to Sheargrubs.

You won't see this creature too often, but it is not that dangerous of a creature, as it only can eat one Pikmin in long periods of time.

The in-game Piklopedia states that there are other Burrow-nits, even though this is the only type in the game known.

Olimar's Notes

The snake pattern in this beast's shell is one of the most distinctive features of the Burrow-Nit family. The red pattern of the Cloaking Burrow-Nit and the spikes around it mantle make it easily identifiable while still making it a representable specimen of the Burrow-Nit family. The shell on the Cloaking Burrow-Nit's back also provides a frame that fixes its muscular structure in place, and appears to give the creature its powerful needle-launching attack.

Louie's Notes

Boil in the shell with a pinch of salt until bright red, and serving piping hot with tartar sauce.

How to Kill

Pikmin

Swarm it. It may attack a Pikmin, but chances are it'll be dead before it gets to finish the Pikmin.

Captains

Attack it from the back, and run when it bucks. If you attack from the furthest possible distance, the buck won't affect you, and it'll be even easier.
