Purple Pikmin is a fat member of the Pikmin Family introduced in Pikmin 2, along with White Pikmin and Bulbmin. They are the second species of Pikmin to appear in Pikmin 2. Unlike the Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin, whom are stored in the Onions of their own color, Purple Pikmin are stored in the ship with the White Pikmin, as they both have no Onion.

Purple Pikmin are 10 times as heavy as a normal Pikmin and can carry 10 times as much as a normal Pikmin. When you throw them on top of or near an enemy, they will stun the enemy for a short period of time. However, they are very slow.
