Background
This boss is the fourth boss encountered in Pikmin 3. This boss commands the Bee-like enemies to attack your Pikmin. It quickly abducts Louie before the player can reach him. The appearance of it is extremely similar to the Hachisuzume(the bee-like enemies)
enemies and it commands them to attack your Pikmin swarm using its harp-like beak. It cannot be attacked while its own swarm of bees is surrounding it, requiring the captains to aim their Pikmin (preferably Winged Pikmin) at the boss after it exposes itself after one of its coordinated attacks.
Strategy
The strategy is mainly to defend your Pikmin from the bees and then attack the boss. As the battle progresses, the boss will create different formations with its bee-like workers in an attempt to destroy your swarm. One should note that this boss completely relies on its own swarm to attack, possessing no offensive moves of its own besides shaking off Pikmin. The first formation is a gigantic cone-like formation, the easiest to avoid. Just stand still and when just they are about to attack, move out of the way. If any Pikmin were caputured by the bees, the bees will move the around the boss in a circle formation, holding hostage Pikmin. The bees must be attacked swiftly to free the Pikmin, as if the player is late, the Pikmin that have not been freed will die. The second formation is kind of like long parrallel lines, and harder to dodge, and reqires good timing to get out of the way. The third formation is impossible to dodge, no matter what. The formation is the bees forming a circle surrounding you, and closing in, and the way out is to keep at least one captain out of the circle (or throw the captain out of the circle, if all hree get trapped) and quickly throw as many Pikmin as possible out of the area of the circle. Once any of the formations are complete, the bees will temporarily go away for a while, giving you an opportuinity to attack the boss, so quikly bring it down using Winged Pikmin and once its on the ground, quickly attack using all of your Pikmin (and preferably use a super-spicy spray when you attack, as the battle goes much faster with it). Once it dies, it will expel a big fruit, Louie. And unlike other bosses, this boss leaves multiple corpses at its defeat, (its own one, and all the bees corpses).
