The President

President of Hocotate Freight

The President is the owner of Hocotate Freight, and is featured in Pikmin 2. He runs into financial trouble after Louie, a new employee, ate all the Golden Pikpik carrots on his ship (he tells the president space bunnies did it), plunging them into a debt of 10,100 pokos! When Captain Olimar returns to Hocotate after the events of Pikmin, he is so surprised by the news the president gives him that he drops his bottle cap (worth 100 pokos) and makes the debt an even 10,000. The president will be the main source of mail before you erase the debt, his news getting worse as he finds out that the loan agent he actually got was the Black Hole All-Devouring Loan Sharks, as opposed to Happy Hocotate Savings and Loan, and goes into hiding. After you erase the debt, Louie accidentally falls out of the ship, and the president goes to help you find him. You play as him instead of Louie from then on.

The president says "Syecho!" when you switch to him, indicating that that might be his name; but Syecho means president in Japanese, so that might be why he says it. In that case, his name is unknown.
