This article is about the green jewel on a circle. For the red jewel, see Essence of Rage.

The Essence of Despair (グリーン・アイ^?, lit.: "Green Eye") is a treasure in Pikmin 2, found on the second sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos. This treasure is actually a round cut emerald mounted on a round silver loop, which makes it resemble the Sagittarius and Libra from Pikmin in that respect. This jewel is dropped by one of three Fiery Bulblaxes, so Red Pikmin are a must when retrieving it.
