Pikmin Bloom's first Community Day event occurred on November 13th, 2021. It was set to run from 9:00am to 6:00pm local time, however, due to network issues making players unable to access the game, it was extended to run to 8:00pm.[1] Bonuses of this event included:[2]

    • This effect started the day before and continued throughout the weekend.
  • Users who walked 10,000 steps or more earned a special Community Day Participant badge.

(This made the regular step counter inaccessible.) This step graphic returned in every subsequent Community Day event, with different theming to match each event's promoted flower. Following the event, Mushroom battles gave poinsettia nectar instead of pansy nectar.

This event was announced on September 4th, 2022.[38]

After a few hours, it was changed to "Plant 1,000 white flowers" for people who hadn't opened the app yet, and a few hours later, people who had started the mission when it wasn't working had it automatically completed even if they hadn't walked 10,000 steps yet.[39][40][41]

Missions referring to a specific color of flowers counted all flower types of that color, not just the basic type. For example, planting white spider lily flowers or white rose flowers would count towards missions requiring the planting of white flowers.

The flower types that could be bloomed changed in the middle of each day.

The list of tasks for the event.

Starting from May 8th, 2023 a new system for events was established, and the events tab was replaced by the "event challenge" tab. This tab displays a green tile featuring a big flower at its center, with a circular track arranged around the big flower, which is split into four sections. Beneath this, missions are shown with various requirements for completion; steps taken, flowers planted, Pikmin grown, petals plucked or mushrooms destroyed. The player's Mii is displayed marching upon the track, and will advance as missions are completed, leaving a trail of flowers behind them. As each of the four sections is completed new missions will be presented, and the big flower in the center will grow through its phases; from a few tiny shoots at first, to a sprout, then a bud, and finally into a bloomed big flower once the challenge stage is completed. Upon completion the challenge stage will advance, awarding the player a Gold Seedling of the month's limited-time decor, and placing them upon a new track with a new big flower to grow. There are four challenge stages in total, each with their own missions. Upon completing the fourth stage the player will reset to the first stage and begin the process anew.

The event challenge tab, showing a player completing the first section of stage 1.

The roulette screen of the event challenge tab, both before and after spinning the roulette.

When a mission is completed, tapping its entry will bring the player to a roulette screen displaying six items, with one of the player's Pikmin beneath. These items range from various kinds of regular and rare nectar types to a Gold Seedling. Tapping will cause the item roulette to begin revolving, and tapping again will cause the roulette to slow, stopping as the Pikmin jumps and taps the winning block, with the Pikmin waving happily as the prize is displayed. If the player does not tap the second time, this process will eventually conclude on its own. The timing or absence of a tap does not affect the outcome, as each prize is predetermined. [87]

New Mii parts were added, Graffiti Jackets and matching Sneakers. Graffiti Jackets were a permanent addition, whilst the Sneakers were available from May 28th to June 2nd, 2023, and included Special Missions that rewarded the matching Sneaker Decor Pikmin which needed to be completed by July 31st, 2023.

From May 8th, 2023 through until after May 31st, 2023, Gold Seedlings from event challenges and referral codes reward players with Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin. During this period, these decor Pikmin were stronger when battling mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of strength.

The 2024 New Years Event took place from January 1st, 2024 0:00 to January 28th, 2024 23:59 local time.

This event resembled the 2023 New Years Event, with a new decor category of "2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin" released. It followed the already established roulette rounds model, with rewards varying between the usual petals, gold or huge event seedlings, freemium items, and the event currency "Party Poppers". Party Poppers were also rewarded for planting flowers (at a rate of 1 poppers per 100 flowers planted) and for clearing mushrooms. Giant Mysterious mushrooms were guaranteed to drop 150 Party Poppers, while all other mushrooms dropped 60, 70, 80, 150, or something else, like mushroom recharge tickets. All mushrooms destroyed would drop some kind of mystery box rewards. Giant Mysterious mushrooms appeared on three weekends during the event (Jan 13/14, Jan 20/21 and Jan 27/28). As usual, the 2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin would be much more effective against all Mysterious mushrooms than any other pikmin.

Pikmin Bloom Tour 2023: SapporoEdit

The first Pikmin Bloom Tour took place in the city center of Sapporo, Japan, on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 from 10:00 to 18:00.[142] The event was free to attend, but required registration, and tickets were given out in a random draw. Players could enter the drawing from the app, and winners were contacted by email on April 8th, 2023. Winners got tickets to the event and could invite up to 5 friends to also get tickets.[143] Special features of the event only appeared for ticket holders, not other people in the area.

Upon arriving at the event's starting location, ticket holders received a Pikmin-themed paper sun visor, and a map. From there, they could walk around to various locations in central Sapporo. Each designated location had a Special Spot, and swiping down while viewing that Special Spot from nearby would give the participant a Gold Seedling of a specific location type, and 40 cherry blossom nectar. (The nectar was still given if the nectar storage limit had been reached.) There were also 3 special missions in the Challenge List, which could be attempted simultaneously. One was to walk 7000 steps, and completing it gave a Gold Seedling that would grow into a Red Pikmin with Present Sticker (Gold) decor. One was to plant 3000 cherry blossom flowers, and completing it gave a Gold Seedling that would grow into a Yellow Pikmin with Present Sticker (Gold) decor.
