Glint beetle family

The glint beetle family is a family of enemies in Pikmin 2, with only one known species, the Iridescent Glint Beetle.

The Iridescent Glint Beetle is an insect in Pikmin 2, quite similar to the Iridescent Flint Beetle, except its carapace resembles glittering gold in appearance. This enemy is rarer than the Flint Beetle, but drops more rewards. Like the Iridescent Flint Beetle, it hides underground in a fixed spot, and when approached, emerges and quickly scatters around. When it pauses to rest, the player can throw a Pikmin directly on top of it to make it drop a spoil.
