The Pocked Airhead (デコリボッコリ?, lit.: "Unevenness") is a fruit in Pikmin 3 and a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a dekopon, a seedless, sweet variety of mandarin orange that resembles a tangelo. It is found twice in Pikmin 3's Story Mode, both times buried in the ground. It produces two and a half cups of juice (one and a quarter in Ultra-Spicy mode), despite its small size and weight. In Pikmin 4, it is found in the Doppelgänger's Den and the Cavern for a King.

Tropical Wilds

The Pocked Airhead in the Tropical Wilds is located just outside the landing site, past the dirt wall or reinforced wall. It is buried in the ground, so use Yellow Pikmin to dig it up quickly. Note that a Whiptongue Bulborb is near the fruit, and a Hermit Crawmad is nearby, so take care of those creatures first.

Garden of Hope

Location of the Pocked Airhead in the Garden of Hope.

The Pocked Airhead in the Garden of Hope is located behind an electric gate across the brown bridge near the Onion, to the right of the sleeping Bulborb. While Yellow Pikmin are destroying the gate, be sure to kill the enemies in the way so they will not eat the Pikmin carrying the fruit back. After destroying the electric gate, there is a Fiery Blowhog guarding the fruit, so bring some Red Pikmin to collect the fruit. It is also buried in the ground, so you should use Yellow Pikmin to dig it up quickly, though any type will work.

Collecting the treasure

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Doppelgänger's Den

There is a Pocked Airhead sitting on a floating platform near the center of sublevel 3 of the Doppelgänger's Den. To collect this treasure, you must build the clay wall just northeast of it, climb it, and throw 12 Pikmin at it. You will need to reverse the direction of the conveyor belts to collect it, or use Blue Pikmin and change the location of the base.

Cavern for a King

There is a Pocked Airhead half-buried in a mound of sand along the eastern edge of sublevel 19 of the Cavern for a King. To collect this treasure, you must throw 12 Pikmin at it.

Notes

Brittany's notes

When we opened this one up, I was curious what we'd find in the funny head at the top of the fruit. Turns out, nothing. So it's got a thick skin, with a big head that doesn't actually have anything inside. That's why I named it for the captain (hee hee!).

When we opened this one up, I was curious as to what we'd find inside the funny head at the top. Turns out, it was empty. So, it's thick-skinned and has a big head with not a whole lot going on inside. Hmm... Reminds me of someone in this team...

Schnauz's notes

Children love this fruit for its adorable shape. See how it looks for all the world like a jolly orange snowman? But the Pocked Airhead is more than just a cute character. Its taste is sweet, and its strange, lumpy skin is easy to peel. There's much to love about this citrus snowman!

Olimar's notes

Some people may like to peel this fruit from the top, but I prefer to attack it from the bottom instead. Whenever I go from the top, I get this tingly feeling around my belly button. I find it very unnerving.

Louie's notes

Save the peel, and use it to add a citrusy aroma to your bath. Drop it in the warm water, and relax.
