The Silencer (サイレンサー?, lit.: "Silencer") is the head of a doll, most likely a baby doll and also a treasure in Pikmin 2. It is found on the tenth and final sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos and is held by the elusive, but extremely aggressive Segmented Crawbster.

This treasure is worth a notably high amount of Pokos: coming in at 670 (666 in the Japanese version), it is the third most valuable treasure in the game. Staring at the treasure while the Pikmin carry it, or while idling on the "collected treasure" cutscene allows one to see the doll head blinking as it is tilted.

Like other treasures usually dropped by bosses, if the player defeats the Segmented Crawbster, but does not have enough Pikmin to carry the Silencer - which normally weighs 20 units - it will change weight to match the player's army.

Notes

Olimar's journal

The ship is noisy, but nothing compares to the boss's inane chatter. Blah blah blah! It never ends! He could learn a lot from this noiseless, disembodied head. Louie's quiet nature was hard to adjust to, but now I've grown to appreciate the peace and quiet.

Sales pitch

The perfect gift in this age of overwhelming information, this mute face cherishes silence. If you value peace and quiet, why not spend some time staring into this face? One hour... Two hours... I am...feeling...drowsy... Energy-saving...mode...initiated

Trivia

  • The value of this treasure was changed from 666 Pokos to 670 for releases outside Japan, presumably for its connotations with the Beast from the biblical book of Revelation.
