I noticed that for the Pikmin 2 low day runs it said 3 days to repay the debt so I did some math to show otherwise in case you're curious.

  • Day 1: Courage Reactor (280) = 280 (280 Total)
  • Day 2: Utter Scrap (170) + Emergence Cave (480) = 650 (930 Total)
  • Day 3: Awakening Wood Treasure (765) + Hole of Beasts (1,100) + White Flower Garden (580) + Bulblax Kingdom (1,240) + Snagret Hole (1,215) = 4900 (5,830 Total) Using early Blues glitch
  • Day 4: Perplexing Pool Treasure (560) + Citadel of Spiders (795) + Glutton's Kitchen (1,190) + Shower Room (1,220) + Submerged Castle (690) = 4,455 (10,285 Total)

So 4 days with early Blues (GCN), 5 days without (Wii). GreenPikmin (talk) 15:56, 20 February 2015 (EST)

P.S. Beast collecting may get around this but because of their low poko values I don't think it'd be possible. I might try it soon though. GreenPikmin (talk) 16:02, 20 February 2015 (EST)

a new challenge!(is approaching)

I don't know if it's note worthy, but I thought of a challenge for Pikmin and Pikmin 2. A no radar challenge! For Pikmin, this would require not getting the Whimiscial Radar (Or at least make it part 29), and Pikmin 2 Requires not collecting the Treasure Gauge ((treasure held by Hole of Beasts Empress Bulbax)Unless final Treasure). This Challenge, provides no way to know when their is a part/ treasure nearby. Some stuff can be relied solely on memory (mainly Ship parts) But since placement changes inside of caves it makes it a whole other story, Thus adding to the challenge.Pikmin Theories (talk) 14:42, 9 May 2017 (EDT)

New record

It's not mine, but I've discovered a new world record for all fruits speedrun in Pikmin 3. Can I add it to the article? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voEYZl8wdOw --Ben (talk) 12:59, June 23, 2019 (EDT)

Sure. Just remember to add it to the correct row in the table. — {EspyoT} 10:51, June 24, 2019 (EDT)

Maximum Pikmin Challenge

Curiously, I can't seem to find any info on just how many Pikmin can be sprouted in the first game outside of Challenge Mode, given the 30 day time limit. I see "High Pikmin Count" in the Challenge run section, but has anyone ever actually done the math to determine the maximum number of Pikmin growable on each of the 30 days, with or without getting a non-bad ending? -- AmnesiacUser avatar for User:Amnesiacjournal.Journal 16:35, February 27, 2023 (EST)

Low-day run articles

Pikipedia has several articles describing low-day runs. These are the 5 day run for Pikmin 2, the 6 day run for Pikmin, and the 7 day run and 10 day run for Pikmin 3. The 5-day run and 6-day run pages have been moved multiple times as the minimum number of days has decreased, and arguably the 10-day run page should have been moved since a 9-day run is now possible, just extremely difficult. There is no low-day run article for Pikmin 4 yet, as there are multiple runs for different levels of completion – 9 days for rescuing Olimar, 13 days for curing Oatchi, 14 days for completing all areas 100%, and 33 days for completing all missions. This raises the question of how to document these. Should there be separate articles for each, or 1 article covering all 4 challenges? I think the latter option is better, because separate articles would have a lot of overlapping content. But if we had a "Pikmin 4 low-day run" article, what if we did the same thing for the other games? This would have the advantage of being able to describe multiple variants of the challenge on the same page. A 5-day run of Pikmin 2 requires difficult glitches to do and an 8-day run is more feasible, so both challenges could be described on the same page, showing both the theoretical limit and a practical guide. The Pikmin 3 low-day run article could cover the 7-day, 9-day, and 10-day challenges. This would also provide an opportunity to rethink the structure of these pages, which are currently mostly strategy guides. What do people think of this idea? — Soprano(talk) 17:28, February 1, 2024 (EST)
