On Dolphin, I went to the Emperor's Realm, found two stray Snow Bulborbs, killed one of them, injured the other one so that it was close to dying, and then petrified it. I then held a Purple Pikmin while the cursor was on top of the enemy, paused the emulation, and made a save state. Then, from here, I tried releasing the Purple Pikmin on a different frame each time, and recorded the results. Finally, I gathered the statistics. I could only throw the Purple Pikmin 206 times before the creature broke free. Of those 206 times, 174 made it drop a nectar (84.466%), 17 made it drop an ultra-bitter spray drop (8.25243%), and 15 made it drop an ultra-spicy spray drop (7.28155%).
