Unknown Enemy 10 is a moth-like creature that was revealed from the Nintendo Direct aired on 12.5.12. It appears to live in a cave-like area that somewhat resembles the Forest Navel. This fearsome creature lights up with bioluminescence when disturbed, allowing you to see that it has pink hairs growing from its head, wings that are orange on the outside and beige on the inside, yellow legs, and glowing eyes. When this creature spots it's prey (the pikmin), it will inhale with it's gaping, whale-like mouth, causing a vortex to form that will trap any pikmin that wander into it. Once this happens, a few of the trapped pikmin will get sucked into the creature's mouth and are eaten instantly.
Rock Pikmin are immune to this creature's attack. In the trailer, only Red and Yellow Pikmin are lifted by the vortex and are eaten.
