Figwort insects are small, black, indiscriminate insects found only in Pikmin 1, which swarm briefly when Captain Olimar disturbs certain Figworts, and occasionally other fauna (namely clovers). They do not affect gameplay whatsoever and cannot harm Pikmin. The plants they inhabit also show no signs of disease, so the relationship between the insects and plants is likely mutualism.
