|carry = 1}} Rock Pikmin are a new species of Pikmin featured in [[Pikmin 3]]. They are slow and simply appear to be rocks with pikmin's eyes, limbs, and violet flowers, just like the [[Pink Pikmin]]. However the "rock" is most likely a hard outer shell, and seems to be hollow (other than than the pikmin's vital organs). It seems as if they are not be able to lay down like the red pikmin when they are idle, they also make a different sound when thrown (in comparison to the other pikmin). The main part of their body seems to be a grey texture of graphite that reflects light, while the 'skin' on the arms and legs of Rock Pikmin appears grey or black. When Rock Pikmin are dismissed, their sprouts glow gray. They are the only confirmed new pikmin for the moment.
