Like the [[7 day run (Pikmin 2)|7 day run]] or the [[zero death run]], it is recommended that players have completed the game at least once before attempting it, due to its challenging nature.
 
The [[Doomsday Apparatus]] is the heaviest [[treasure]] in the game, and the one requiring the most carriers – 100 Purple Pikmin. Besides these, the player must also keep one red, yellow, and blue to prevent [[Pikmin extinction]], adding up to a minimum of 103 Pikmin to collect all 201 treasures.
 
An extra challenge is to try this run without sprays. The minimum amount of time this has ever been completed in is 8 days.
