Nintendo (任天堂株式会社) is a video-game company that was founded in September 1889 as a manufacturer of a card game called Hanafuda. One of Nintendo's current products is the Pikmin series of games, which number two GameCube games along with their New Play Control! releases, and a third, Pikmin 3, for the Wii U. These games are played on Nintendo consoles, the Wii and GameCube.
Other popular Nintendo franchises include Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, Kirby, F-Zero and Pokémon.
Pikmin Games
The first game, Pikmin, was released on October 26, 2001 in Japan, December 2, 2001 in North America, and June 14, 2002 in the PAL region.
The sequel to Pikmin, Pikmin 2, was released on April 29, 2004 in Japan, August 30, 2004 in North America, October 8, 2004 in Europe, and November 4, 2004 in Australasia.
The New Play Control! version of Pikmin was released on December 25, 2008 in Japan, March 9, 2009 in North America, February 9, 2009 in Europe, and February 26, 2009 in Australia.
