Couldn't you petrify it during the delay, so it won't move? Learner

New tactic

I'm not going to add it to the article, I don't have time to do it properly. But instead of splitting your captains, you can simply have them both together, along with your entire pikmin army, and switch between them repeatedly.

If you're Olimar, switch to the President then straight back to Olimar again. The Bloyster will change tail colour to chase the president - which takes about 5 seconds - and then spend ANOTHER 5 seconds changing back to Olimar-colour. Once your 10 seconds is up, switch back and forth again to gain another 10 seconds. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 13:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Wouldn't you then have to run to the other side though to reach its tail? —Jimbo Jambo
My thoughts exactly. This is possible, but annoying and time consuming. I wouldn't prefer using this one.--Prezintenden
Yes, but only once. Once you're at its tail, it won't turn round again. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 14:50, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I get it; similar, in a way, to reaching the back of the Empress Bulblax in Frontier Cavern. You make your way to the rear in short steps, then you're fine once there if you know when to switch Captains again. GP 16:24, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm completely unaware of whatever tactic you may be referring to. Sorry. XD JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 16:37, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, it was a bad comparison, and not really a tactic. I meant when you come across that Empress Bulblax, you split the Captains and give one the Pikmin, then keep switching, making your way to the head end with one, and killing Bulborb Larvae when needed with the other.
