I have an idea. Seeing as this is NON-CANON, we can redirect it to the Steve page at Pikmin Fanon. Then, we should block access to edit this page, so that no one tries to create a Steve page again. {EspyoT} 09:40, 28 December 2010 (EST)

Nuts, it doesn't want to redirect automatically. We can either leave it as it is, or work around it with some HTML. {EspyoT} 09:44, 28 December 2010 (EST)
I say we just leave it as is. Should we protect it from just new users and anons, or from all users? Vol (Talk)
I recall external redirects require more complicated codes. In our case, it might not actually be possible. I'll delete for now.--Prezintenden
At least with that poor redirect, new users would realize they need to take it to the fanon wiki before trying to blindly delete the redirect and add content. With the page deleted, it's highly likely someone will try to recreate it. {EspyoT} 09:16, 29 December 2010 (EST)
Then I'll delete it again, it's not like this is happening on an hourly basis. Maybe GP can fix something up when he's back. I haven't been able to find anything, and I'm too lazy right now to ask someone to code it.--Prezintenden

I adress you to just restoring and moving the content to Pikmin Fanon and giving the creator the link. The one and only,Artwork of three Dwarf Orange Bulborbs.Peanut64.

By default, I'd recommend something like that, too. However, if you check the edit history on the old wikia, you'll find that most of the people that edited that page are... well, I'll keep the talk pages family friendly. I just don't want to see such... "people" doing this again. So far, we only had one edit on this page with an innocuous user. I just fear that in the future, we might have some users that just don't want to give in, like in the other wikia, and cause trouble. They can be dealt with, but still. {EspyoT} 13:10, 30 December 2010 (EST)
I thought maybe the 'Forward' option for interwiki things might do this, but apparently not. I say don't bother doing anything until (unless) it's created again. It's bad practice to outright redirect to a different domain, anyway: a soft redirect should be fine. GP

Odd, Sonic Retro wiki can use an interwiki redirect in this page: http://info.sonicretro.org/index.php?title=RNC&action=edit Why can't we? {EspyoT} 08:47, 24 February 2011 (EST)

Interesting. The only thing I could see that might have to do with that on their version page was that they had a slightly older version of MediaWiki than we do. Vol (Talk)
Well, I've asked at the NIWA forums. GP
