The UV Lamp, obviously, is apparently a luxurious item, since it gives you a tan; therefore, it was not needed to be retrieved in order for Olimar to get off the planet. It is found at the Distant Spring and is placed high upon a ledge accessable only by Yellow Pikmin, and you must go through a maze to get to it. Just swarm your Pikmin against the narrow land space, and travel against the wall so your Pikmin do not fall. Then throw your Pikmin up to the ledge, and they will carry it. Make sure you have defeated the Spotty Bulbears in the area. Captain Olimar says that the UV Lamp is so bright that he has to wear a sun visor just to look at it. It's also great for tanning, but it doesn't have a relation to the Dolphin's flight capabilities. He says that he doesn't need this part, and thinks there are more like this one in the area.
