New Play Control! Pikmin 2
New Play Control! Pikmin 2 is part of the New Play Control! series, a port of Pikmin 2 to the Nintendo Wii. It has been released in Japan, Europe, and Australia, but not in North America. It is likely that this game will not be released in North America. However, just like the Metroid Prime series, after Pikmin 3 is released, it is possible that there will be a Pikmin Trilogy. Like the first game's Wii version, the box art for every region is the same as for the GameCube release, within a New Play Control border, the cover, however, may be turned over and replaced to show the full size cover.
New features
The most notable feature, as with Pikmin, is the different control scheme, which allows pointing at the screen to aim the cursor. This version also has widescreen support and the graphics are slightly enhanced over the GameCube title. There are no gameplay differences, it is just an enhanced version of Pikmin 2.
