In the Pikmin games, members of Olimar's family make appearances and contact him through mail. The following characters exist:
- His wife, who writes e-mails about how and why she feels towards Olimar.
- His son, who is astonished by his father's experiences.
- His daughter, who is concerned about growing up properly and explains this to her father.
