It is possible to throw Pikmin further by taking a running start while holding a Pikmin by pressing down A / A, then releasing the button while still running in the wanted direction. This works with any Pikmin type, and in both games.

In the New Play Control! version of the game, this is no longer true: the pointer can be moved anywhere on the screen, and a running throw has the same range as a normal fully extended throw.

The leaf texture used in Pikmin 2's Challenge Mode menu. (Used on Pikipedia in the {{stub}} template.)
