It is possible to throw [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] further by taking a running start while holding a Pikmin by pressing down "A", then releasing the button while still running in the wanted direction. This works with any Pikmin type, and in [[Pikmin series|both games]].

In the ''New Play Control!'' it is all ready possible to throw Pikmin further, because the pointer can go as far as the screen edge. Running then trowing only results in the same rage as a normal extended throw would.
