In pikmin 4 however, it is revealed through the Onions and Pikmin being included in its Piklopedia that the Pikmin are not in fact in the same family as the Candypop buds, rather that the Candypop buds are a relative to the Onions and Flarlic in the world. Possibly evolving a more sedimentary life when there are more than enough onions for the current pikmin population to exist, the roots possibly resembling that of an onions "legs". The Queen Candypop bud especially bares resemblances to the merged onions in Pikmin 3 and 4, perhaps being the final stage in a Candypop bud's growth before maturing into an Onion or Flarlic, however this theory does not explain the nonexistence of Purple and White onions. | ||
