In fairness, the Hocotate Ship's records aren't foolproof, as he mentions the data is corrupted in the Japanese Website, and states that Red Pikmin's fire immunity and the field limit aren't in Olimar's records, despite him taking note of these in the previous game. The Ship only says there is no record of the field limit if the cutscene is activated with the full 100, instead of the 95 cap from wild Pikmin in the area.
