The Cupid's Grenade appears as a treasure in Pikmin 2 and as a fruit in Pikmin 3. It is simply a cherry.
How to obtain
Pikmin 2
The Cupid's Grenade is found on Sublevel 4 of the Snagret Hole, and is located in one of the many alcoves, near multiple Armored Cannon Beetle Larvae and other hazards.
Pikmin 3
In Pikmin 3, the Cupid's Grenade appears three times in Story mode, and is only worth a half bottle of juice. It appears in the Tropical Wilds and the Distant Tundra.
Tropical Wilds
The Cupid's Grenade in the Tropical Wilds is on a small, raised island near the landing site. One blue or winged Pikmin is all that is needed to lift the cherry.
Distant Tundra
Two Cupid's Grenades are found in the Distant Tundra. One is on top of a snowman near the landing site, and seems like it requires Yellow Pikmin to obtain, but any Pikmin can get the fruit. Another is next to an Iron Ball embedded within a snowdrift at the top of a hill.
In Battle Modes
The Cupid's Grenade appears in both battle modes in both games, 2-Player Battle and Bingo Battle.
In 2-Player Battle, this item plays a larger role than it did in the main game. Multiple cherries can appear at once; it only takes one Pikmin to carry, and it is brought to the Onion instead of the Research Pod. When a cherry is acquired, a roulette appears and the player who took the cherry to the ship will obtain a special ability/item that will give an edge in battle. Up to five of these rewards can be stored at any given time. Click here for a full list.
The Cupid's Grenade also appears in Bingo Battle, and serves a similar purpose as in 2-Player Battle in Pikmin 2. However, the rewards offered by the roulette are different. Click here for a full list of items obtained from the Roulette. When Golden Grenades are collected, they count as 5 cherries, and immediately fill up the Roulette.
