Winged Pikmin: Difference between revisions

'''Magenta Pikmin''' are a new type of pikmin featured in [[Pikmin 3]]. They were only seen during Nintendo's E3 2012 press conference.<ref>[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEbUujVkHWU&t=0m15s]</ref> Two of them can be seen faintly at the very start in the backround along with 3 [[Red Pikmin]]. The trailer shows them much closer as they fly by the logo.<ref>[http://e3.nintendo.com/games/#/wiiu/pikmin-3]</ref> Not much is known about them at this point, but they can fly using small wings, have strikingly large heads topped with a violet flower, appear to be smaller than most Pikmin, and appear to have two large blue-purple compound eyes. Due to being present only in the trailer, it is assumed that Magenta Pikmin and their gameplay uses will be officially revealed at a later date. It's also possible that Magenta Pikmin are merely a decoration in the scenery. As seen in the Pikmin 3 E3 video, there is a giant flying yellow bug in it. This could just support the theory.
