The time it takes to move them takes much longer, and simply by observing the shadows this gargantuan creature casts it can be attacked even with leafed [[Purple Pikmin]], as long as one stays underneath its huge abdomen, even when enraged. This allows you to throw [[Pikmin]] right back onto its body after calling them off before it shakes. A great way to defeat this beast is to use only around 7-15 Pikmin.
-In order to attack Raging Long Legs without losing any pikmin, throw your pikmin on him when he is moving slow, and then call them off of him when he speeds up. When he slows down again, he will pause, and then throw your pikmin on him. They will stay on him for a while, and then call them back when he speeds up and repeat.
