This treasure will be collected automatically in the following cutscene after the battle, so the only thing you must do to collect this treasure is defeat the Ancient Sirehound.
-The Gift of Friendship is found at the bottom of the [[Cavern for a King]], Sublevel 20. It can be seen around the neck of the [[Ancient Sirehound]], but can't be collected until he is defeated. Once he is, he will drop his collar. It is then automatically collected via a cutscene.
