Baldy Long Legs (ダマグモ) is a hairless variant of the Shaggy Long Legs. Like other arachnorbs, it is quite large, its only method of attack is crushing Pikmin with its large feet, and its circular core is its weak-point. In Mission Mode this creature will aimlessly wander the map, but in the Forgotten Cove, it will stay in its arena. This trait is unique to this arachnorb.

Uniquely, in Tropical Forest, this creature will follow a route all around the map, rather than spawning and staying within an arena.

The green and purple variant is most common, but there also exists a white and red version. A golden form is also encountered in the p3d Side Story titled Olimar's Comeback.

In the original release of p3, the relation between the Baldy Long Legs and the Shaggy Long Legs was not known, and since they were both identified with different names when locked-on, they were considered different creatures. However, in p3d, Olimar's comment in the Piklopedia explains how it is simply the same creature, but without hair. Nevertheless, he notes how, because the hair never grows back, it is considered a different species.

This enemy could be considered as being the same creature as the Beady Long Legs. This is because in Japan it has the same name as the Beady Long Legs. It can however still be considered a unique enemy in its own sense given that the appearance and combat mechanics don't quite match up with Beady Long Legs's. In addition, the localization crew for the game felt the need to differentiate this enemy from either of the other arachnorb by giving it a new name.
In the Japanese version, it has the same name as the Beady Long Legs. However, its appearance and battle mechanics both differ, and Olimar specifically distinguishes the two in his Piklopedia entry in p3d, pointing out both of the above.
