Breadbug
Breadbug Pansarus gluttonae Breadbugs are one of the enemies the Pikmin games. It is in the Breadbug family, which was named after it. It does no harm to the Pikmin directly, though it can pull away small objects (in Pikmin 1), or both small and rather large (in Pikmin 2) objects vital to the Pikmin into its dwelling. If Pikmin are trying to pull something when the Breadbug pulls them in, they will die. It has a large and hard amount of blubber, making it nearly immune to most attacks.
The most-used way to kill it is to have Pikmin pull objects that the Breabug attempts to take with them and take it to any Onion or the Ships's pod. The Onion or pod will get the object, but damage the Breadbug. This method usually has to be done twice, though the first hit is some strong, you may just need to throw a Pikmin on it to finish it off. Strangely, pilots could only hurt the Breabug by fist in Pikmin 1, in Pikmin 2, this became null (useless).
Another, easy way to kill the Breadbug is to drop Purple Pikmin on it, where their heavy weight will also hurt the Breadbug, and they also try to home in as they land. If you are a little short on patience, petrifying it will also make it vulnerable to swarming.
