The Doomsday Apparatus is the heaviest and most valuable treasure in Pikmin 2. It is a large blue, and heavily rusted training weight. It is found in the Wistful Wild, not too far from the landing site. You must go through the grueling task of getting 100 Purple Pikmin to be able to pick up this unfathomably heavy item, and even then, it takes a very long time to carry to the base because of the fact that all the purples can't circle around the treasure, meaning in a complicated way, more Pikmin could carry it!
