'''Freezing Wasteland''' ({{j|いてついた こうや|itetsuita kōya}}) is the first main [[area]] in the [[Snowfall Field]]. It introduces a few of the ice mechanics present in the [[sector]], such as icy slopes that Olimar cannot control his descent on, and [[crystal]]-like icicles that can be broken with Rock Pikmin. The enemies in this area, particularly the [[Clicking Slurker]]s, server as nuisances while the player is attempting to complete other tasks, making battling them and multitasking an important skill in this area.

As the name implies, this area is made of snow and ice. The player can find a lot of [[crystal]]s, as well as some icy slopes too. This area is also the only one that features [[Clicking Slurker]]s, who act as the main threat of the area. In some places in the area, the player has to multitask between attacking those creatures and doing other works, such as building a bridge or destroying a wall. In this area, two treasures can be found : the [[Sunset Projector]], which is accessible by [[Olimar]] only through the use of the jetpack, and the [[Frozen Stranger]], located at the top of a [[vine]].
