Their behavior is identical to all other [[Candypop family|Candypop Bud]]s, except when a Pikmin type other than Rock Pikmin are thrown in, Rock Pikmin sprouts will be expelled. Five Pikmin can be thrown in before the plant withers away. If Rock Pikmin are thrown in, they will be reverted to leaf [[Maturity|stages]], and the number of Pikmin that can be thrown in will not decrease. They are rather uncommon, only appearing twice during ''Pikmin 3'''s main story and once during [[Mission Mode]]. Their name is somewhat misleading, as they are a shade of black rather than gray.
