The Huntinpeck Family is a family first named in Hey! Pikmin, Though they may have been introduced in Pikmin 3. There is only one confirmed member of this family, but it is speculated that there may be as many as three, as it is plausible that the Scornet and Scornet Maestro are members of this family. Members of this family resemble chimaeras of Insects and birds, and hunt by impailing prey on their sharp beaks before consuming them.

Sparrowheads are small creatures that usually travel in groups of at least two. When approaced by the player, they will fly towards them causing damage and impailing pikmin before flying away. It takes only one pikmin to kill them.
