Scourge of the Skies (そらとぶ げんせいせいぶつ) is the first main area in the Lushlife Murk. It introduces the Centipares, and challenges the player's skill by making Captain Olimar have to go from Centipare to Centipare to proceed forward, which can be accomplished by falling from one to the next, or by using the jetpack.

hp
This area, as the first level of the Lushlife Murk, introduces the player to poison hazards. Being mainly made of poison, the area obliges the player to use the many Centipares as platforms, which are also introduced in this level. The player must also be aware of the many Hydroe brambles in the area, which can be a huge threat to Olimar and his Pikmin. The player can find two treasures in this area. The first one is the Flauntulent Bauble, which can be found after a doorway, accessible only through the use of Centipares as elevators. The second one is the Star-Beaten Jewel, which can be found near the end of the area.
