Sheargrub

Sheargrubs are a species of enemy in the Pikmin games. These enemies are the smallest true (attacking) enemy. The male Sheargrubs are purple and can squeeze Pikmin to death with their pincers, but can only kill one at a time. Female Sheargrubs are white, and have no way to attack, making it the easiest enemy in the game. They may burrow in the ground, but will come back up if you come back. In all games so far, they are annoying in the fact that they can roll up any bridges you have unrolled.
