The Octoplus is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a tako sausage, or octopus sausage, styled like an octopus.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Blossoming Arcadia[edit]

There is an Octoplus inside of a Waddlequaff at the northernmost section of the area. To collect this treasure, you must either defeat the Waddlequaff and throw 2 Pikmin at it, or throw 2 Pikmin when the Waddlequaff spits it out, and distract it while the treasure is being carried off.

Seafloor Resort[edit]

There are two Octopli on the absolute northwest of sublevel 2 of the Seafloor Resort, beyond the water, on the edge of the surrounding tank. To collect them, you must throw 2 Pikmin at each one.

Frozen Inferno[edit]

There is an Octoplus lying on the ground at the far west side of sublevel 1 of the Frozen Inferno next to a Heroic Sword. To collect this treasure, you must throw a fire starter at the bundles of straw in front of it, or hope a Pyroclasmic Slooch ignites them. Then, throw 2 Pikmin at it.

Notes[edit]

Schnauz's notes[edit]

Alien invasion? No, no...it's just an octopus! Or is it? There's something quite strange about this one. Could it be a new species, perhaps? Well, whatever this thing is, the way its adorable beady eyes stare unblinkingly at me... I'm almost certain it is communicating telepathically with me.

Olimar's notes[edit]

A strange life-form that mimics an octopus... Hmm... We've discovered other creatures that use mimicry, but in this case, it's fairly unconvincing. I'm not even sure it IS a life-form. I intend to dissect it to investigate further, but first I will try one tiny bite...

Louie's notes[edit]

The head and tails have the same flavor and texture. Tastes like fish.
