Rock Pikmin are a new species of Pikmin featured in Pikmin 3. They are slow and simply appear to be rocks with pikmin's eyes, limbs, and violet flowers, just like the Pink Pikmin. However the "rock" is most likely a hard outer shell. The 'skin' on the arms and legs of Rock Pikmin appears black.

Obtaining Rock Pikmin

Then, you must defeat the Slurker to get the Pikmin back. Being rock-like in nature, it is unlikely there will be a rock Candypop Bud. It is unlikely that you may get them from an onion, considering they are obtained in the way that they are.
