Anode Beetles are small black beetles with four yellow spots on their wing casings. They are named 'anode' due to the fact that they produce electrical currents if another one is nearby. This creature is blissfully unaware of Pikmin, but if they approach the Beetles or the electrical current then they may be subject to electrocution. The best way to defeat them is by throwing either Yellow Pikmin and/or Purple Pikmin on the beetle's back to flip it over, and then following it up by swarming with any Pikmin type (just be careful to get any Pikmin vulnerable to electricity back out of the way before the beetle flips itself back over again). Purple Pikmin, thanks to their homing ability and shock waves, can flip these from a distance as well, making them effective when in a hurry. If an Ultra-Bitter Spray is used, the Anode Beetle will become vulnerable to easy swarming.
