The Cloaking Burrow-nit is an insect-like creature that rests face down in the ground. You may see its dark blue shell with large, red eye markings sticking out of the ground. If you approach it, it emerges and chases down your Pikmin. It has an extendable needle-like nose which it uses much like a chameleon would use its tongue, launching it at individual Pikmin and reeling them in to eat. The best way to beat it is swarm its tender face, or throw Purple Pikmin onto its back. Burrow-nits, primarily the one in Wistful Wild, will deconstruct nearby bridges, similar to Sheargrubs.
You won't see this creature too often, but it is not that dangerous, as it only can eat one Pikmin at a time.

How to Kill
Pikmin
Swarming it is a suitable method, usually with 60-100 pikmin if you feel uneasy, as the hard shell protects it from all pikmin attacks, leaving only the face vunerable, but usually, the pikmin will revert from the shell to the face.
Captains
Try using both captains and repeatedly keep punching it's face, but try to keep both away from the middle where they are at rick of damage. Most often, when 1/6 of it's health is gone during it's attack phrase, instead of the harpoon being released, it will attempt to defend itself (shaking). After defending, it will reattempt the attack phase. Rinse. Repeat.
