The Whiptongue Bulborb [1]is a new enemy from Pikmin 3. It has a long, narrow, slender snout which resembles that of an anteater, and has a white back with black spots. This Bulborb attacks with a long, flexible tongue which allows it to quickly devour Pikmin from much greater ranges than other members of the Grub Dog family. Also, this Bulborb does not appear to sleep when it is unaware of the presence of Pikmin. Instead, it seems to wander, or rummage, through the grass in the surrounding area. This is also shown here at about 6:10. Its attack methods are similar to that of the Emperor Bulblax and the Cloaking Burrow-nit.

It is worth 50 pokos, the same as other Bulborbs in the trailer. The name of this creature is shown at 6:17 here .
