Pikmin 4 Arachnorb
The Arachnorb shown in the Pikmin 4 trailer seems to follow many conventions of the arachnorb family: Long legs with large feet that crush Pikmin. It also seems to be a biomechanical creature similar to the Man-at-Legs, with electrical wires wrapped around its legs and dangling off its body, and most strikingly the multiple illuminated windows on its main body. Its resemblance to a multicolored light-up disco ball has lead to the colloquial name of "Disco Long Legs," but this is by no means a taxonomical name. These lights have been shown to change color, seen in both blue and yellow, but it is unclear the meaning of this change, if there is any at all. The actual legs of this creature, beneath the wires and other jacketing, resemble bone or keratin, a feature also seen in the Shaggy Long Legs and Baldy Long Legs, but far more pronounced here. Its and feet also seem larger than the average arachnorb's, but the feet are still smaller than the Raging Long Legs. Many Pikmin can be seen underneath it when the lights are yellow, unable to do much other than jump in place with some pink smoke coming out of their heads. This status effect is similar in appearance to poison, or the dust that the Vehemoth Phosbat sprays which causes the Pikmin to panic, but it is unknown if this is the result of the arachnorb enemy itself or another hazard.
