| '''Captain Olimar''' ({{j|キャプテン・オリマー|Kyaputen Orimā}}), also referred to as simply '''Olimar''' ({{j|オリマー|Orimā}}), is the main protagonist of the {{ps}}, and the main character in {{p1}}, {{p2}}, and {{hp}}. Olimar appears as a supporting character in {{p3}} and even more so in {{p4}} with him even being playable in his own side story mode [[Olimar's Shipwreck Tale]], being set right before the events of the game. He is from the planet [[Hocotate]], and while on several missions for his employer, [[Hocotate Freight]], he discovered [[PNF-404]] and on it, he teams up with the extraterrestrial species called [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]]. He has discovered all types of Pikmin so far.
