When dormant, Creeping Chrysanthemums greatly resemble the large yellow flowers known as the [[Margaret]] used for level scenery. They can be told apart from the normal flowers, as they have one fewer flower, no leaves on their "stems", slightly visible patterns on their stem, and their large flowers have the Chrysanthemum's eyes visible.

| The Chrysanthemums were heavily redesigned in ''Pikmin 4''. They now have white flowers, their mouths are at the top of their bodies instead of on stalks, they have large tongues which they launch to attack and their arms have been replaced with frog-like legs. When they launch their tongues and miss, they will take a while to retrieve them.
