:You're right that there's a lot of slightly-incorrect taxonomy on the wiki. A few years ago someone noted in a lot of articles that species in different families cannot share a genus, which is technically correct as you say (as long as the species are in different kingdoms), but it's usually presented in a misleading way. And this example you've found is definitely wrong and was probably the editor making a mistake.
