Talk:Occupational Hazards
When the bulborb comes out of is den and scares the Pikmin The yellow pikmin opens his mouth?!?!?! Fact check me on this I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure they don’t have mouths just the blue ones – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pikpik carrot consumer • (talk) • (contribs)
It may look like it’s mud but it’s not because if you look at the pikmins upper lip you can see that the shadow shows that it’s actually a Mouth ?!?!?!?! – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pikpik carrot consumer • (talk) • (contribs)
Yellow Pikmin mouth[edit]
I think you are right, and I took a screenshot, so someone can check. I don’t know about how the rights work though because I don’t know what it classifies under. Can you get back to me on that? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jmastr5000 • (talk) • (contribs)
Sorry to say this, but your message is probably not going to reach them due to separating your message from theirs by making a new section (they also have not been active for a while either). I am here though, and yeah, there is a little shadow by the “mouth,” but I do not think this indicates an actual mouth but more-so a fake mouth to trick the viewers. Just a heads-up, sign your messages with four tildes [~] with no spaces. Pump3r6unk (talk) 23:28, December 5, 2025 (EST)
Got that, thanks. Do I still upload the file for the image? Jmastr5000 (talk) 11:07, December 7, 2025 (EST)
Depending on the quality, go ahead and upload it. Pump3r6unk (talk) 18:09, December 7, 2025 (EST)
I’ll just put it on my user page because I’m having trouble uploading it here. Jmastr5000 (talk) 10:22, December 8, 2025 (EST)
Sure, but you will still need to upload the image on the wiki for it to show up for your page. It’s fine if it isn’t a good quality or if it is missing image details since it can be updated or replaced, just as long as it is not added on a public page on the wiki like this Pikmin animated short page. Done! A little confusing, but done! Jmastr5000 (talk) 18:05, December 8, 2025 (EST)
Nice, you got your image uploaded! Unfortunately, there are a bit of issues with the screenshot. It is not ideal to have this screenshot cropped as all screenshots for this animated Pikmin short page show the full screenshots and most importantly show the full context of the scene. Even if we wanted to have the image focused on the Yellow Pikmin, it is still not well cropped as it cuts the Yellow Pikmin’s ear. Lastly, a different frame (or to put it in more words, a better time to pause the scene) could be used instead, as this one had the mud block the “mouth” a bit. Aside from some image issues, the description of the image is not worded well, since the Yellow Pikmin does not exactly have a mouth, and the media is not specified to indicate where the screenshot originates from. Overall, it needs readjustments and then it should be good to go. Pump3r6unk (talk) 19:32, December 8, 2025 (EST)
The image is improved, but it still has some issues. The black bars on the sides have to be removed since no other screenshots do not have it and they are also distracting. The name of the file and description should account for what is being depicted in the entire shot, since the Yellow Pikmin having a fake mouth is not central focus, as there are other scared Pikmin in the screenshot as well. The file description should as well state that the screenshot is from the animated short Occupational Hazards. Pump3r6unk (talk) 13:51, December 9, 2025 (EST)
Thanks for fixing the description, and I just uploaded the photo. Anything else I need to fix for it? Jmastr5000 (talk) 17:05, December 11, 2025 (EST)
Wait, that was Soprano. Nevermind. Oh, and, if you’re reading this Soprano, thank you. Jmastr5000 (talk) 17:13, December 11, 2025 (EST)
It is better, but the image is still not cropped correctly. The left side still has a thin line of black and the right side is missing the a Kanji symbol on the construction barricade fence. If we want this image to be cropped correctly, I have to ask how this image was taken and how it was cropped. Pump3r6unk (talk) 20:48, December 12, 2025 (EST)
Because it was a screenshot on an iPhone, it is really difficult to line it up pixel by pixel. Do you have any ideas on how to do it better? My computer doesn’t let me go on the official site without major lag, and the lag seriously affects the quality of the photo, so I can’t take the photo and edit it there. Jmastr5000 (talk) 17:44, December 14, 2025 (EST)
It is possible to crop the screenshot perfectly on iPhone if you select it to crop it by a 16:9 screen ratio. However, I will say that taking screenshots of video from YouTube on iPhone will make the pictures not in high quality and it is better to take it on computer to achieve the best quality.
