- Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from special missions.
- During the event, Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power.
Other information:
- An Event Challenge Special Pack and new Mii costumes were available in the shop. If purchased, the newly introduced pairs of sneakers unlocked special missions that rewarded the matching Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin upon completion.
2023 Fingerboard Event
The 2023 Fingerboard Event took place from June 1st at 00:00 until June 21st, 2023 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:[2]

- Fingerboard Decor Pikmin were available, with Blue, White, and Rock Pikmin available for the first time. The existing Fingerboard Decor Pikmin from the 2022 Fingerboard Event were also available to obtain. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from special missions.
- During the event, Fingerboard Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power.
Other information:
- This event introduced the Event Premium Pass and the pity wheel to the Event Challenge system.
- An Event Challenge Special Pack, new Mii costumes, and the Event Premium Pass were available in the shop. If purchased, the newly introduced T-shirts unlocked special missions that rewarded the matching Fingerboard Decor Pikmin upon completion.
2023 Chess Piece Event
The 2023 Chess Piece Event took place from June 22nd at 00:00 until July 20th, 2023 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:[3]
Decor Pikmin information:
- Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were available, with new designs and colors available for all Pikmin types for the first time. The existing Chess Piece Decor Pikmin from the 2022 Chess Piece Event were also available to obtain. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from special missions.
- The available color of Chess Piece Decor Pikmin changed every Thursday, which was also reflected in the shop via the color of the available Chess Piece hats. This was not true for Gold Seedlings obtained from inviting friends, which grew into a random type and color of Chess Piece Decor Pikmin no matter what the current rotation color was.
- During the event, Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power.
Other information:
- This event ran alongside the Pikmin 3 Deluxe Throwback Event.
- An Event Challenge Special Pack and new Mii costumes were available in the shop. If purchased, the newly introduced Chess Piece hats included special missions that rewarded the matching type and color of Chess Piece Decor Pikmin upon completion.

- During the event, Pikmin 4 Spaceship Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 25 points of attack power. Koppaite Space Suit Decor Pikmin also gained an additional 25 points of attack power, as a bonus from the prior Pikmin 3 Deluxe Throwback Event.

2023 Mahjong Tile Event

- Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. There are 2 different tile sets for all Pikmin types, with a total of 14 new Decor Pikmin introduced during this event. Each set of 7 Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were obtained through different methods.
- Seedlings for the first set of Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin, unofficially referred to as "Tile Set 1", could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets.
- After August 26th, Seedlings for the second set of Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin, unofficially referred to as "Tile Set 2", could be obtained from Mystery Boxes, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets.
- During the event, Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power. They were especially strong especially strong against Mystery Mushrooms.

Decor types
There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases. Some decor categories have multiple decor outfits available. In these cases, the decor is randomly chosen from among the options for that category.
The basic decor sets are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what kind of decor a Pikmin will gain. When viewing this icon, it will be gray if the player does not have the corresponding Decor Pikmin of that color, and yellow if they have already collected that Decor Pikmin. Note that this also applies to Rare Decor or time-limited Decor Pikmin. In an example of the latter, if a player has all Red Pikmin from the Sticker categories but does not have the Coin decor, all Roadside decor icons for Red Pikmin will appear as gray.
